Volstro Right Angle Milling Head. Included is an Adjustable Right Angle Milling Head, # 15000-1, CAT 40, with the 6" Right Angle Head Attachment, Volstro # 4000. Recommended 2500 RPM, Head ratio is 1:1. Also, there are 3 ETM ER 16 Spring Collets, 1/8", 3/16", and 3/8". There is a bracket, a metal bushing and a wrench that also come with this unit. Instructions included as well. All parts are in very good condition either lightly used or brand new.

Volstro Variable Angle Milling Head. CAT40 Attachment: High strength, light weight mounting system. Machined from 7075-T651 aluminum alloy. Sealed double-row bearing system. Four full rows of bearing support for the input shaft & angular head. Full 360 deg directional adjustment for all attachments. Multi-angle head: The multi-angle head with straight housing is used to mill chamfers and angles with standard endmills. It also mills internal grooves and keyways. Angle is adjustable for 0-90 deg with 360 deg rotation. A 360 deg dial is mounted on the housing. 2500 RPM Uses ER-16 collets to 3/8" capacity Spline driver & spline shaft Hardened and ground spindle and gears. Comes as shown in pictures.

Along with manufacturing new spindle motors, we rebuild spindles for all makes and models, including metal working machines. One of the above motor spindle photos represents a specially designed 24,000 RPM liquid cooled head, originally manufactured by Ekstrom-Carlson, and recently repaired by our Service Technicians for Lockheed Martin, a United States major defense contractor. If Lockheed Martin counts on us to keep their machines operating, so can you.

Four factors are of primary importance when rebuilding a high speed spindle operating at 5,000 to 60,000 RPM.

The condition of the machine before the rebuild along with an accurate diagnosis of any and all problems.
Installing proper replacement parts including spindle grade bearings and parts with OEM tolerances that are known only to OEM's such as Ekstrom-Carlson. We are not simply a machine shop or an electrical rewind shop.
Precision tolerance machinery and tooling including grinding, plating and balancing equipment.
Experience and quality workmanship of the repair technician.

At D&R AutoChuck, a complete factory rebuild includes a thorough inspection and a detailed repair quotation based on the supply of new parts from stock (when available). Comparison of parts to detailed prints, when required, ensures that no corners are cut. All spindle rotating elements are balanced to ISO G2.5 tolerances or better, the best in the industry.
